Integrating HubSpot with Chat ON Desk

This document provides a detailed process for integrating the “Chat ON Desk” chatbot with HubSpot. This integration allows users to view messages sent through the chatbot directly in the HubSpot CRM Conversations Inbox.

Prerequisites

    • A HubSpot Account – You should have an active HubSpot account with conversations Inbox access.
    • A  Chat ON Desk Account – You should have an active subscription with Chat ON Desk.

Integration Process

  1. Access Integration Section: Log in to your Chat ON Desk account. On the dashboard, click on the “Integrations” located on the right side, and there click on Add Icon(+New Integration).
  2. Select HubSpot: From the list of available integration options, click on “HubSpot”. This action will open the HubSpot integration page within Chat ON Desk, and will redirect you to HubSpot to link HubSpot with Chat ON Desk.
  3. Verify Connection: On the HubSpot integration page, click on the “Click and Verify” button.
    • This step will typically redirect you to HubSpot’s authorization page (OAuth flow). Here, you’ll be prompted to select your HubSpot account (if you have multiple) and grant necessary permissions to Chat ON Desk to access your HubSpot data (specifically, to send messages to your inbox).
    • Upon successful authorization and verification, you will be redirected back to a new page within Chat ON Desk.
  4. Select Inbox: On the new page that appears after verification, you will find an “Inbox Select” option.
    • From the dropdown list, select the HubSpot Conversations Inbox that you identified or created in Section 2. This is the inbox where you want to receive messages from your Chat on Desk chatbot.
  5. Save: After selecting the correct inbox, click on the “Save” button located on the top left of the page.
    • This action will finalize and activate the connection between Chat on Desk and your chosen HubSpot Conversations Inbox.

Your Chat ON Desk account is now successfully integrated with HubSpot, enabling you to manage customer conversations directly within your HubSpot CRM. You can now test its functionality:

  1. Send a Message from WhatsApp: Use your WhatsApp (on your website or platform) to send a test message to your Chat ON Desk Whatsapp number.
  2. Check HubSpot Conversations Inbox:
    • In your HubSpot account, navigate to CRM > Inbox.
    • Here, you should see the message that you sent from the Chat on Desk chatbot.
